To ensure Envi Tech AL's consultancy projects and operations adhere to all applicable environmental laws, regulations, standards and client requirements, whilst supporting business development through proactive compliance advisory and risk management.
Monitor and interpret Pakistani environmental legislation (PEPA, NEQS, provincial EPAs) and international standards (ISO 14001, IFC Performance Standards) relevant to consultancy services,Review project deliverables (EIAs, IEEs, environmental audits, monitoring reports) for regulatory compliance before submission to clients and authorities,Maintain compliance registers and tracking systems for regulatory deadlines, permit renewals, and reporting obligations across consultancy projects,Liaise with federal and provincial Environmental Protection Agencies, SEPA Sindh, and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients,Conduct compliance gap analyses for clients and recommend corrective action plans aligned with legal and industry standards,Develop and update internal compliance procedures, checklists and quality control templates for consultancy deliverables,Provide compliance training and guidance to consultancy project teams on regulatory requirements and best practices,Support business development by advising on compliance aspects of proposals and identifying compliance-related service opportunities,Prepare compliance reports for management highlighting regulatory changes, project risks, and improvement recommendations,Maintain organised records of regulatory correspondence, permits, approvals and compliance documentation,Coordinate with laboratory operations to ensure environmental testing services meet accreditation and regulatory standards
Thorough knowledge of Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997, NEQS, and provincial environmental regulations,Understanding of EIA/IEE procedures under Pakistan EPA Review of IEE and EIA Regulations 2000,Ability to interpret environmental legislation, standards and technical guidelines,Strong attention to detail and document review skills,Proficient written and verbal communication in English for regulatory correspondence and reporting,Organisational skills for managing multiple compliance deadlines and documentation systems,Analytical thinking to identify compliance gaps and propose practical solutions,Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management,Ability to build professional relationships with regulatory authorities and clients,Understanding of quality management principles and documentation control
Familiarity with international environmental standards (ISO 14001, IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines),Knowledge of sector-specific regulations (industrial effluents, air emissions, waste management, occupational health),Experience with compliance management software or database systems,Understanding of Pakistan Environmental Laboratory Association (PELA) or ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements,Project management skills for coordinating compliance activities across teams,Familiarity with Sindh Environmental Protection Act 2014 and local government requirements,Ability to communicate in Urdu for stakeholder engagement,Training or certification in environmental auditing or management systems
